The first chapter of “Re-Aisia Project”, where the artists explicate the “traces (signs)” of Mazu through travel documentation. Starting from the Tianhou Temple in Jinzhou, Liaoning, at the northernmost end of China, and following the coastline back to Meizhou Island—the birthplace of Lin Mo (Mazu’s given name).

“Re-Asia Project: Prologue” marks the first offline gathering following the launch of the “Re-Asia Project” announced at the Beginning of Spring (Lichun) earlier this year. The metaphor of ‘casting a brick to attract jade’ (Pao Zhuan Yin Yu) framed our dialogue – initiating with personal explorations (the ‘brick’) to draw out collaborative visions (the ‘jade’).
Longlati Foundation is pleased to announce the solo exhibition Regarding the Mediocrity of Others by Tseng Chien-Ying (b.1987), which will open on March 19, 2025. The exhibition features 16 recent works by the artist, which combines the brushwork and gouache medium.
The extent to which the “self” is a fabrication of power discourse, a remnant of collective consciousness, or an illusion woven under the name of “I”—how do these questions enter the inner world, infiltrate private spaces and penetrate the dreams that soak them? The exhibition “The Illusion of the Self” by Tschabalala Self (b.1990), opening on March 19, 2025, at Longlati, serves as a case where these inquiries are transformed into an inward exploration.
