Re-Asia Project: Pilgrimage to Mazu

The first chapter of “Re-Aisia Project”, where the artists explicate the “traces (signs)” of Mazu through travel documentation. Starting from the Tianhou Temple in Jinzhou, Liaoning, at the northernmost end of China, and following the coastline back to Meizhou Island—the birthplace of Lin Mo (Mazu’s given name).

Re-Asia Project: Prologue

“Re-Asia Project: Prologue” marks the first offline gathering following the launch of the “Re-Asia Project” announced at the Beginning of Spring (Lichun) earlier this year. The metaphor of ‘casting a brick to attract jade’ (Pao Zhuan Yin Yu) framed our dialogue – initiating with personal explorations (the ‘brick’) to draw out collaborative visions (the ‘jade’).
